Dog & Cat License
It is unlawful for the owner of any dog or cat, three months of age or more, to fail 
to obtain a license therefore from the City. 
License Issuance, Term and Renewal. All dog and cat licenses shall be 
issued only upon presentation of a certificate issued by a veterinarian, licensed to practice 
veterinary medicine in the State of Minnesota, showing rabies and distemper vaccination as 
provided in Subdivision 14.105. All licenses shall be valid for the life of the animal as long as 
the vaccinations are kept up-to-date. If the application is for an initial license for a neutered or 
spayed animal, a statement from a licensed veterinarian shall accompany the application stating 
that such animal has been spayed or neutered.
